Frequent short burning sessions may cause your candle to burn unevenly. The rule of thumb is to let the candle burn for 1 hour for every inch of diameter across the whole surface. For our candles, dedicate at least 3 hours of burn time or until the wax pool is liquid all the way across the surface. Make sure that you don’t keep it burning for too long, though. Your wax pool should only be ½ inch deep. In addition, make sure to trim your wick to ¼ of an inch before every burn. Untrimmed wicks can either release burnt residue into your candle or cause the elongated wick to shift within the melted wax, which causes an off-centered burn. By following these tips, you won’t get sinkholes and your candle will not burn unevenly.
